Tiramisu~

Finally made my very first Tiramisu Cake~~
Apparently "Tiramisu" is an Italian word that means "pull-me-up" similarly, cheer you up.

Didn't have coffee liqueur, so I made it with instant coffee powder, added in some Irish Whiskey, and my secret ingredient vanilla essence (which was not in the recipe). Had no experience in beating the Mascarpone cheese and thick cream which resulted in a slightly stiff mixture, but I reckon it was alright, not too bad. First time working with sponge fingers as well, which was quite interesting little biscuits.

Overall, I thought it was quite nice~ ^^

Success!~

Wasn't too sweet, or bitter either.




Pictures can't quite justify the taste of the cake. Dim lights and funny camera functions making my photos look not too pleasant.

Thanks to the netball team who stayed on for dinner and becoming my guinea pigs to try the cake.~

Might make some more this week since I've got half the bottle of cream left.
