Morning went well with the usual netball team heading to Windmill to play friendly matches. It was cold. The ground was wet and slippery. Had a couple of good games. The team is definitely bringing it on.
Halfway through, we had our first injury. Not quite sure what happened, but one of the girls sprained her ankle quite badly. And then not long after, another fell and scrapped her leg. Soon another friend joined in, she sprained as well, hers seems quite bad too. Was rather a bad day for everyone playing.
And me being me, always prone to injuries, can even trip on flat ground, had my turn of sprain too. It wasn't even anybody's fault. I was guarding, and was just following my opponent around when I decide to make a quick left, my left foot was sleeping.
Twisted my left ankle.
~o~
At first didn't care much about it, though I sat out from the games after. I was fine hopping around and even drove home after. Was fine limping slightly around home and making lunch.
Had yummy nuggets and fish fillet, and thought sweet thai chilli would go well. Opened the fridge door, leaning my weight on my right, lost my balance, and lost the bottle as well. =,=
There goes the bottle of sweet thai chilli on the floor, glass everywhere. Great. More work to do.
Had lunch, then cleaned up the mess. Vacuumed the glass shards from the kitchen floor here and there.
Getting up the stairs was literally a pain in the bum. =\
Haven't had an injury like that in a while. Come to think of it, don't think I've sprained my ankle before. Decided against to do grocery shopping today. Gonna get my sister to go buy instead.
Thanks to my sis who's definitely more sporty than me, she's got an strap which apparently they use to wrap around the injured/sprained joints to prevent it from "swinging" around too much. Wrapped it around my foot now. She said I'm lucky it didn't change color albeit the swollen ankle.
Ah wells.
Sorry I didn't tell you earlier about my sprain this morning. I didn't want to you to worry and disrupt your well-timed planned trip to KL. I thought maybe tell you later when I'm better.
Though I really wished you were here.
=)
